Joy Haugabook (she/they) is the founder and creative director of Imagined By Joy. She is a Black, queer visual storyteller from St. Petersburg, Florida, who utilizes photography and writing as mediums to preserve personal and collective memories to cultivate connection.
She began her photography journey eleven years ago, experimenting with her cellphone and the world around her. In 2020, several life changes converged to bring them back to this creative practice in a much deeper way. Creating became a mechanism for their survival. In addition to offering professional photography and graphic design services in the Tampa Bay area, they use these creative practices as a tools for storytelling, healing, and connection.
